Texas Longhorns to host special fan day April 26 replacing spring football game

AUSTIN (KXAN) — In place of a traditional scrimmage to conclude the spring practice period, the Texas Longhorns football program will hold a day full of special fan experiences April 26, at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The events run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for fans of all ages, highlighted by the la
rgest team shop fire sale in the department's history. It will feature apparel and merchandise previously only available to student-athletes and coaches in sizes from extra small to 5XL, along with Nike brand Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Paul George shoes. Authentic football and basketball jerseys, polo shirts and duffel bags will also be available.

The store is in the east concourse of DKR and can be accessed by Gate 28D.

The event will feature a street festival similar to the one on game days from 10 a.m.-2p.m. Bevo Boulevard, Smokey's Midway and the Hook'Em Hangout will all be active on DeLoss Dodds Way at the north end of DKR. Fans can also get their pictures taken with the The Golden Hat trophy from the Longhorns' 34-3 win over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry and the Lone Star Showdown trophy from the 17-7 win over Texas AM,

Children aged 12 and under will have the chance to do NFL combine-style activities on the Campbell-Williams Field turf from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Youngsters can run the 40-yard dash, participate in agility drills and a quarterback skills challenge. From noon-2 p.m., Bevo XV, Smokey the Cannon, Texas Cheer, Texas Pom and Hook 'Em will be available for photos.
Player autographs begin at 12:15 p.m., and the session will last 90 minutes. Fans can line up at either Gate 8 or Gate 25 starting at 10 a.m. to get in the stadium. Each fan will get a 2025 Texas Football poster to be autographed, and no outside items will be allowed for autographs.
Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl trophy will be available for photo opportunities in the south tunnel during that time.
Timeline of the Texas Football Fan Day, April 26, DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium
9 a.m. – Team Shop Fire Sale opens outside Gate 28D
10 a.m. – Interactive activities, food trucks, and photo ops open on DeLoss Dodds Way
10 a.m. – Gates 8 and 25 open for autograph line queue
10 a.m. – On-field experiences for kids ages 12 and under and Campbell-Williams Field photo ops (enter through Gates 14 or 16)
Noon-2 p.m. – Photo ops with Bevo XV, Smokey the Cannon, Texas Cheer, Texas Pom, and Hook ‘Em on the field
12:15 p.m. – Football player autographs and photo ops with Coach Sarkisian begin
2 p.m. – Event ends
Parking is complimentary in the San Jacinto garage north of DKR starting at 8 a.m., with the Manor garage adjacent to the stadium open before noon. A clear bag policy will be enforced. ...read more read less
