Investigation underway after teen found shot outside grocery store in Broadlands, deputies say

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a teenage boy was shot to death in Broadlands on Saturday night, deputies said.
Details remain limited; however, Just before 6 p.m., deputies with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to a Harris Teeter in the Southern Walk Plaza for a reported stabbing.
There, deputies said they found the teen boy, who had been shot, inside a car.

Investigators determined the shooting actually took place in the 4300 block of Hillmont Terrace, which is about a mile from the shopping plaza, according to the LCSO. Deputies told DC News Now that the teen went to the grocery store for help after he was shot.
"The LCSO is actively investigating the circumstances of the shooting which currently appears to be an isolated incident," the sheriff's office said, in a release.
As of Sunday morning, the teen's name has not been released.
