ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The New York Lottery announced three third-prize-winning tickets were sold for the April 12 Powerball drawing and one of those winning tickets was sold in Rochester. The winning ticket in Rochester was sold at Wegmans on Lyell Avenue. The prize-winning ticket is worth $50, 000. The other two winning tickets were sold in Oswego and Central Islip. The New York Lottery continues to be North America's largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.8B in fiscal year 2023-2024 to benefit public schools in New York State.
