SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, WNDR Museum San Diego and grassroots initiative Always Check On The Homies (ACOTH) are joining forces for an evening of community, creativity and conversation. The event, dubbed “Always WNDR With The Homies,” will take place on
Saturday, May 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the museum in downtown.
The immersive art experience, according to museum representatives, aims to spark meaningful dialogue around mental health through a multisensory celebration that blends interactive installations, live DJ sets and community-driven activations. Tickets are available for $60, with a portion of proceeds benefitting Miriam’s House LA, a sober living home that has supported women and their children in recovery since 2007.
The evening will feature performances from a lineup of DJs, including The Falcon, Agenda 7, Cashiotta, McCarley, Dexter White and GROOVMNT. Attendees will be able to explore WNDR’s signature interactive exhibits while vibing to a soundscape designed to elevate both mood and mindset.

A pop-up market showcasing local San Diego vendors and mental health organizations will be on-site, along with limited-edition collaborative merchandise from WNDR and ACOTH, available only during the event.
“Always Check on the Homies has been working to encourage others to open up about their mental health and get more involved with their communities for a few years now, and this partnership with WNDR Museum for Mental Health Awareness Month is quite an exciting step for our mission," said William Doerr, founder of ACOTH.
The event highlights the growing movement to destigmatize mental health conversations, particularly among young adults and creatives, by transforming a museum experience into a space of care, connection and cultural impact.
"WNDR has become a staple gathering spot for the San Diego community, and I am excited they're opening their arms to welcome us to bring people together through such a unique and interactive art experience,” Doerr continued. “Through this event we plan to highlight the importance of sharing positive experiences with others and being more open and honest with your mental health.”
Tickets are now on sale through WNDR Museum’s official website. For those looking to connect, reflect and celebrate the power of community, “Always WNDR With The Homies” night is the place to be. ...read more read less
