Get Your Passport Ready: Fresno Celebrates Independent Bookstore Day on April 26!
Apr 13, 2025
If you love the smell of old books, the thrill of discovering your next favorite read, or just supporting local gems that make Fresno feel like home—mark your calendars for Saturday, April 26th. It’s Independent Bookstore Day, and this year, our city is showing up in a big way.
Six i
ndie bookstores across Fresno and Clovis are teaming up for the Fresno Bookstore Passport, a full day of giveaways, events, and literary magic.
One of our favorite stops? The Fresno Friends of the Library Store. While they normally close at noon on Saturdays, they’re extending their hours to 4 PM just for this special day. That means even more time to browse the shelves, grab your passport stamp, and help raise money for the Fresno County Public Library (yep—all proceeds from the store support them!).
You can pick up your official Bookstore Passport now during their regular hours (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM), or grab one on the 26th and start collecting stamps from each shop. Hit all six spots and you’ll be entered to win prizes, snag exclusive merch, and enjoy special treats happening all day long.
