Oakhurst man possessed, sent child sexual abuse material, deputies say

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Potential victims are sought after an Oakhurst man was arrested for allegedly possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material, the Madera County Sheriff's Office announced Saturday.
Deputies say they received a tip from the National Center for Missing a
nd Exploited Children regarding the distribution of child sexual abuse material activity occurring in the county.
Detectives identified 30-year-old Oakhurst resident Bobby Dean Alexander as a suspect and believed he was a transient residing in the mountain region. An arrest warrant was issued on April 5 and Alexander was eventually arrested after being located.

Following further investigation, deputies report Alexander, who currently resides in Madera County Jail, may have engaged in explicit communication with minors across various social media platforms. Various electronic devices of his have been seized for further examination.
