DENVER (KDVR) — A forest fire is burning near Turkey Tracks Shooting Range, according to a post on X from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. A combination of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Office of Emergency Management, U.S. Forest Service and Teller County Sheriff's Office are working to contain the forest fire. Campers in the area are being advised to evacuate. A helicopter is on the scene to assist with suppression efforts. DCSO said that windy, hot, and dry conditions are making it difficult to combat the fire.
