Emmons County, N.D. (KXNET)- Two grass fires are burning in two counties in North Dakota. One of those fires was reported on Saturday afternoon in Emmons County, east of Highway 1804.North Dakota National Guard troops provided aid making water drops from a Blackhawk helicopter.As of Saturday even ing, a National Guard spokesperson tells KX News one of the crews had dropped 17 buckets, a little over 10,000 gallons of water. Another fire was reported on Saturday afternoon near McClusky.Spokespeople with ND Response say state resources have been requested for that fire.Meanwhile, people are being asked to avoid the area as several fire departments have been showing up to help. ...read more read less
