ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – With warmer temperatures finally appearing to be consistent here in the metro, local kids got out to the baseball field and celebrated some newly completed renovations. The Altamont Field recently underwent renovations that gave the field artificial turf and a 20-foot o utfield fence, making a safer playing environment for young athletes. "I played baseball, you play on a crappy field and it's horrible; the ball bouncing up and smacking you in the face. Here, you got turf in the infield and good grown grass in the outfield. It's really nice. I think they did a really great job," said landscaper Manual Montaño.
