CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) -- A family of four has been displaced and three dogs have died following a house fire in Chesapeake on Saturday afternoon. Dispatchers received reports of a house on fire in the 3300 block of Country Mill Run at approximately 12:10 p.m. Upon arrival, crews reported heav y fire showing. The Virginia Beach Fire Department, Moyock Fire Department and Navy Regional additionally responded to assist with water supply and fire extinguishment. Three of the family pets were found safe in a detached garage while the three dogs found inside the residence did not survive. The house sustained major damage.
