U.S. Women's Disc Golf Championship in Manitowoc to see recordhigh competitors

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - The Professional Disc Golf Association is heading to northeast Wisconsin this summer for the 2025 PDGA U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championship, and a record number of competitors will be on hand.
The annual Major Championship was previously awarded to Manitowoc from a compe
titive bid, and over 373 people are registered to compete. The prior record was 346, set last year in Austin, Texas.

Participants vary, representing several countries, including Finland, Estonia, New Zealand, Denmark and Canada. The age range spans from younger than 10 to over 80 years old. The event kicks off on June 19 and runs through June 22.
People wishing to attend as viewers can purchase a single-day pass for $15 per day or $50 for the entire event, which anticipates nearly $700,000 in local economic impact for the Manitowoc community.
