(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) announced on Friday, April 11, that it will offer free rides over the summer for the fourth year in a row, starting in June. Senate Bill 24-032 makes it possible for MMT to offer free rides, by allowing Colorado transit agencies to receiv e a grant aimed at promoting public transportation during the summer months, when ozone levels are at their highest. "We are excited to continue providing free fares for our riders again this year," said Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager.
