Trenton man charged with child pornography possession
Apr 12, 2025
TRENTON – A 76-year-old Trenton man faces charges following an investigation into online child exploitation, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey announced.
Upton Fink was charged with one count of third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The prosecutor’s office has
filed a motion to detain him pending trial.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children informed detectives with the prosecutor’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit that an individual in Mercer County had uploaded multiple files of suspected CSAM. Investigators identified Fink as a suspect.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, authorities executed a search warrant at Fink’s residence on Arlington Avenue in Trenton. Members of the prosecutor’s ICAC Unit, the New Jersey State Parole Board, the New Jersey State Police, and the Mercer County Tactical Response Team participated in the operation.
Detectives seized multiple items of evidence from the residence. Fink was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mercer County Correction Center.
Third-degree crimes carry a sentence of three to five years in state prison and a fine of up to $15,000.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the prosecutor’s ICAC Unit at (609) 989-6568 or mcposvu@mercercounty.org.
Prosecutor Marbrey urged the public to report suspected improper contact with children or possible exploitation to the ICAC Unit or the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force tip line at (888) 648-6007. ...read more read less
