ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Tattoo artists, creatives, and enthusiasts gather this weekend at the DoubleTree on Jefferson Road in Henrietta to commemorate the 15th annual ROC City Tattoo Expo.
From April 10 to April 12, over 200 artists from around the world including Canada, Japan, Europe, and So
uth America attend the event to showcase their work.
The expo creates a community for those with and without tattoos to enjoy.
Dylan Tate, a tattoo artist from the local shop Love Hate Tattoo, has helped organize the event since 2010. He said the experience of both artists and attendees are priority for the event. Inaugural
Tate said it serves as an "ideal situation" for those considering their first tattoo, whereas going online can be overwhelming with options. With a variety of booths set up, attendees have the opportunity to schedule a time, pay, and schedule a specific artist to tattoo them right at the event.

"Most of the people we have here we make sure are very well-rounded, even if they focus on one particular avenue of tattooing they're more than capable of stepping outside that and doing something that will suit the client's needs," Tate said.
The expo is open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Day passes for the event are also available the day of for purchase.
