HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WANE) — After months of planning a benefit concert for their junior impact class this semester, the time is finally here.
Huntington hosted three bands as a part of their concert, all with ties to Huntington. This consisted of "Attaboy", Peter Finch, and "The Strolls."
Enti
rely run by students, this is part of a class that puts on a community impact event every year.
"Working with my class and people outside of my class, putting this all together has been very fun," Carter Vandermeer, a student at Huntington University, said. "I think it's a cool opportunity for people who may want to get into the concert industry. I've had a great time just working with my classmates just figuring stuff out, putting all the things together. We're just super excited to get ready for everyone."
In addition to all of the hard work students have put in, all proceeds will go to the Huntington County Humane Society to help with all of their animals.
"We are so excited and incredibly grateful for everyone's support," Katy Hudson, Board President of Huntington County Humane Society, said. " We're excited for the concert to see all the students show up; it's fantastic. Support like this and events like these truly go the extra mile in making sure we're able to provide top-notch care for all of our animals in need."
