Escondido Public Library closing at end of April for renovations

ESCONDIDO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The city of Escondido's public library will temporarily close at the end of April to prepare for a major renovation project.
The library, currently located at 239 S. Kalmia St., is expected to undergo significant repairs and upgrades through the next year.
The
renovations and upgrades are meant to address issues in the main library building such as roof leaks and HVAC system failures, as well as uplift the interior appearance.
What to know about work being done on popular North County trail
To prepare for the project, the library is reminding the public to mark their calendars for the following dates:
April 25: The final day for patrons to place hold requests at the Escondido Public Library
April 26: The last day the library will be open to the public before the renovation period
April 28-May 26: Limited services (public computer access, printing services, etc.) will be provided at the Pioneer Room, located at 247 S. Kalmia St.
May 5: Storytime sessions resume at the Mathes Center at 247 S. Kalmia St.
Beginning on May 27, a full range of library services will be provided at a temporary location inside the North County Mall.
