RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond's Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced a new $37 million transportation infrastructure improvement project along Hull Street, with construction to start at the end of April. The project, which is set to begin on Monday, April 28, aims to improv e multimodal safety, operational organization and streetscape enhancements, according to the department, with construction occurring along Hull Street between Hey Road and Warwick Road. Construction is scheduled to be completed in two years and is financed by the Federal Smart Scale and Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds, as well as city and state resources. SwapMeet RVA is coming to Monroe Park this weekend The new program will include a multimodal transportation corridor with a path for shared use. This aims to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians and improve traffic volume and user access.
