Outagamie County Communications Center celebrates 40year career of retiring telecommunicator

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Outagamie County officials are celebrating the career of one employee who spent 40 years with the Communications Center as she heads off into the sunset for retirement.
Telecommunicator Linda James recently celebrated her 40th anniversary in her role with the Commu
nications Center, which serves as dispatch for all 9-1-1 calls in the area, and today was her last day.

In a Facebook post, featuring a cake which expressed gratitude and encouragement for her retirement, the Communications Center said she's been a helpful voice for countless people.

"She has been the voice of calm for more people than she can remember, listened to multiple bad days, educated some and made sure every officer made it home at the end of their shift," the post said.

The post said she's become more than a colleague, calling her family for everybody in the Communications Center.
