FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Vinyl lovers, get ready. Wooden Nickel Records is gearing up for one of its biggest days of the year: Record Store Day. Owner Chris Roets says the day isn’t just about selling exclusive records — it’s about community, discovery, and keeping the spirit of vinyl al ive. “This is our biggest day of the year” Roets told WANE 15. “There’s nothing like flipping through records, finding something unexpected, and really connecting with music.” Wooden Nickel has been part of Record Store Day since the beginning. Roets, a second-generation owner, says growing up in the store shaped who he is and now he gets to share that same joy with a new generation of music fans.
