FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) — A Farmington man was arrested on Thursday in connection to a body found in a vacant lot the week prior. Ames Begay, 40, is being charged with second-degree murder, aggravated battery and tampering with evidence, according to the Farmington Police Department. APD: South Valley shooting sends 2 to the hospital The man found dead in a vacant lot at the intersection of Murray Drive and South Miller Avenue has been identified as Kenneth Bill, 68. Foul play was immediately suspected when he was found. Farmington detectives identified Begay as the suspect, with help from their real-time crime center. The investigation is still active.
