Reservoir in Attleboro back to full capacity after months of drought conditions

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Mayor Cathleen DeSimone said that Manchester Reservoir was back to full capacity after months of drought-like conditions.
The water level at the reservoir had been low since the summer months of 2024, and the state had declared a water emergency in the city.

ded that the area was still in a “mild drought” status, but the water emergency had been cancelled.
Former Water Superintendent Kourtney Allen in resigned in December 2024 after it was revealed that human error caused the city to lose water from the reservoir.
Outdoor water use will also be prohibited between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Sept. 30.
