Warming trend with patchy clouds, coastal fog on tap for San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Some inland locations in San Diego County will be flirting with 80 degree weather as a springtime warming trend dominates local weather this week.
A ridge of high pressure building from the south will bump afternoon temperatures warmer a few degrees each day through Th
ursday for the entire region. By Wednesday, temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees above average with Thursday and Friday looking like the warmest days of the week.
At the coast, low clouds were late to develop Monday, but are likely to stick around for some beach communities in North County for the rest of the day. The clouds may not clear fully until after Monday afternoon.

Low clouds and patchy dense fog along the coast are expected again for Tuesday morning and afternoon with a visibility of one mile or less possible.
Daytime highs Tuesday will top out in the mid- to upper 60s at the coast, upper 70s for valleys, mid-70s for the mountains and mid-90s for the deserts.
Borrego Springs and Palm Springs could hit the first triple digit temperature of the year on Friday with 101 degrees in the forecast for both locations.
