ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A driver has been charged after a 13-year-old girl was hit by a car in Greece Monday morning.
According to the Greece Police Department, just after 7:30 a.m., they found the victim conscious and lying in the grass with back pain. She was taken to the hospital, where she
is being evaluated for neck, back, and ankle pain. Her injuries do not appear to be serious.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage of the incident and saw the victim walking along the gutter of the roadway, was struck by a car, and was thrown into the grass.
Officers said the 31-year-old driver, whose name was not revealed, told them that her windshield fogged up and she struck the victim when she was trying to pull over. They discovered her driver's license was suspended.
The driver was arrested and charged with reckless driving, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without a license, speed not reasonable and prudent, and obstructed view. The incident remains under investigation. ...read more read less
