TOPEKA (KSNT) - Henry McClure is officially running for mayor. 27 News confirmed that McClure filed for his mayoral run last week.
McClure, a local real estate developer, is now one of three mayoral candidates for the Aug. 5, 2025, Primary Election. McClure ran against Kevin Cook for the Shawnee
County District 2 seat in 2024 as the Republican candidate but lost at 9,214 votes to 10,622.
Local voters will be able to select McClure as their favored candidate for mayor later this year. City Council districts one, three, five, seven and nine will also be put up for the vote in the November General Election.
