Lincoln Native Bernthal Booth Resigns as Creighton’s Head Volleyball Coach

Kirsten Bernthal Booth (Courtesy of Creighton Athletics)OMAHA–(CU Athletics Apr. 6)–Creighton volleyball coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth is resigning after 22 seasons to pursue opportunities outside of coaching, but will stay involved in fundraising efforts for the Bluejay Volleyball program.

nnouncement came Sunday from the Creighton Athletic Department.
Bernthal Booth, a Lincoln East graduate, earned 502 wins, 14 NCAA Tournament trips, 12 regular-season conference titles and 11 conference tournament championships, as Creighton’s head coach. She will be succeeded by her assistant, Brian Rosen, who will take over the program.
Rosen was the 2024 AVCA National Assistant Coach of the Year, and spent the previous three seasons at Creighton. He served as assistant coach in 2022 and 2023 before being promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2024 campaign. ...read more read less
