Springfield police officer charged with sexually assaulting Somers high school student
The Fall River Police Department states that 28-year
-old Mitchell Walsh was talking online to an undercover cop, who was posing as a 15-year-old. During their chats, Walsh told the undercover officer he would bring them cocaine and vodka.
Boston police arrested Walsh, and he's now facing charges for enticing a child under 16 years old. Fall River police say Walsh was already on leave for unrelated reasons, and they're cooperating fully with Boston Police.
“The conduct alleged is reprehensible and stands in direct opposition to the values we expect from members of this Department. We take these matters extremely seriously and are fully cooperating with the Boston Police Department. There is no place in law enforcement for anyone who violates the public’s trust,” said Chief Kelly A. Furtado
