Tennpack throwback in Green Bay becomes a football haven for draft week
Apr 07, 2025
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - As Green Bay prepares to host the 2025 NFL Draft, one local business is turning the week into a football fan’s dream. Tennpack Throwback, a vintage clothing shop located just steps from the action, is hosting a weeklong celebration from April 21–27.
Owner Sterling Tha
yse says he’s been preparing ever since the city was announced as host.
“I knew obviously it would be in this area like the stage and all that stuff,” Thayse said. “So I knew I just had to hit it hard and start getting as much NFL stuff as I could.”

While Packers gear is always in stock, Thayse says finding vintage pieces from all 32 NFL teams was the real challenge.
“As soon as it was announced I started every vintage market or online or whatever just trying to find as much NFL stuff as I can so I have a good selection for everybody, not just Packers fans.”
The event will feature racks of vintage NFL apparel, BBQ from Dead Oak Barbecue, and live music from Midwest DJs and producers. The setup will take place both inside and outside the shop, with limited reserved parking spots available for $100.
“It's going to be madness,” Thayse said. “It gets crazy for a Packers game. You add a couple hundred thousand more people on top of that — it's going to be wild.”

Tennpack Throwback’s hours will be flexible throughout the week, with Thayse saying he plans to be there as much as possible, even if it means running on little sleep.
