Commercial building in Wisconsin damaged following fire

PORTAGE, Wis. (WFRV) - A commercial building in Wisconsin is damaged after it took four fire departments to help put out a fire Sunday night.
According to a release from the Portage Fire Department, crews responded at 8:26 p.m. to 2646 New Pinery Road for reports of a fire inside a one-story comm
ercial building.

Upon arrival, officials say heavy smoke and fire could be seen coming out a window on the side of the building.
Fire crews were able to knock down the fire from the building's exterior and two additional crews entered the building and made an interior attack to extinguish the fire.
Before crews were able to completely control the fire, it did extend through a large portion of the building causing an unknown estimated amount of damage.
Three additional fire departments, Pardeeville Fire, Poynette Fire, and Wyocena Fire were called to the scene to assist with Alliant Energy also responding to shut down the power and gas while also monitoring any potential leaks.

No first responders involved in this incident were reported to be hurt and the cause of the fire is currently undetermined.
