A pedestrian died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in a Carmel Valley neighborhood, police said. The crash, which involved an sport utility vehicle, was reported at 8:09 p.m. on Brookburn Drive near Almondwood Way. The driver of the vehicle, according to police, remained at the scene.
