Police records describe DC shooting that left two women injured

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Records from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) are shedding light on what happened Saturday night when two women were hurt during a Southeast D.C. shooting.
According to a public incident report, police responded to reports of a person being shot at 11:56 p.m. i
n the area of South Capital Street SE and Anacostia Drive SE.
There, victims and witnesses described that four women were riding in a car headed towards Suitland parkway when a person in a white car began shooting at the vehicle.

The report adds the woman driving suffered a gunshot wound to her back and another woman sustained a bullet graze to the back of her head.
One of the women was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the other was treated on scene.
