IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WROC) — In addition to the Hands Off rally at Cobbs Hill on Saturday, an event was held for seniors who were unable to attend but wanted to participate outside of a local church. To accommodate attendees' transportation and mobility issues, the rally was organized by a minist er at Irondequoit United Church of Christ. Organizers said the protest was fueled by concerns regarding changes and government cuts to programs and services that impact seniors such as Social Security and Medicaid. "I think it's important to note that older people would like a voice too. That's why this is so special to me to give these people a chance to get out here and make a difference."
