Man seriously hurt after overnight shooting in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk Police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight on Greenplain Road.
Police said the victim walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where they learned he had been shot in the 5300 block of Greenplain Road around 1:15 Sunday morning. They said the man
has life-threatening injuries.
It's not the first time red and blue lights lit up the Crown Point Townhomes neighborhood.
Starting in 2014, the Gun Violence Archive has recorded at least 8 people being shot in the community to date.
Four of those shootings were on Greenplain Road in the very back of the neighborhood, where gunshots were reportedly heard Sunday morning.
Police say of those four past shootings on Greenplain Road, two people died.
10 On Your Side is still working to learn the details of what led up to the man being shot.
As of Sunday afternoon, no information has been released about who's responsible for the shooting.
