Another chilly day ahead with more sunshine for Sunday

What We’re Tracking
More sunshine Sunday but chilly
Warming up again this week
Staying dry into next weekend
Clouds cleared out overnight as winds relaxed and are light this morning. This has allowed temperatures to drop into the 30s and even below freezing in the upper 20s further n
orthward. Isolated showers are possible south of I-35 and with the colder temperatures there's a chance that a few snowflakes try and pass through.
A lot more sunshine is in store to wrap up the weekend as we try and warm up a few more degrees this afternoon although, still on the cooler side. Highs will stay below average again for our Sunday, topping out in the mid-50s and winds staying light from the North.
The next few nights we could see temperatures drop at or below freezing. That has prompted a freeze watch to go into effect for Monday and Tuesday morning for the entire viewing area.
Although our night will be quite cold, a nice warming trend is on the way for the upcoming week. We’ll be back in the 60s by Monday, with a big jump into the mid to upper 70s by Wednesday. Dry weather looks to hold steady throughout much of the week.
