WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Put on your pajamas and grab your phones! The Kansas Humane Society is partnering with animal welfare organizations around the globe for the 2025 Shelter Slumber Pawty.
On Saturday, April 5, from 7 to 11 p.m., some of KHS's most dedicated supporters will live stream at KHS
"pawting" with their shelter residents to raise funds and awareness for community animals. The money will support the general cost of caring for thousands of animals, programs, and community outreach.
“KHS is so excited for our first Shelter Slumber Pawty, and we are so lucky to join in on the first international event. Huge thanks to all of our supporters who have already donated, as well as those joining us to help fundraise on Saturday. This will be so much fun and we can’t wait to throw on our pajamas and have a fun night with our pets,” Jordan Bani-Younes, KHS's director of communications, said.
Participants include KHS CEO Aaron Walker, KHS Lead Veterinarian Amy Schad, KMUW’s Jedd Beaudoin, Beth Ericson from A Better Companion Pet Training, Woof’s Play & Stay’s Kimberly Dunagan, April Kececi with Stryv Bank, and many more.
Local fundraising efforts are already underway online, and over $4,400 has been raised. KHS's goal is $10,000. ...read more read less
