INDIANANPOLIS — Significant flooding has been reported across central Indiana this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, a flood warning is in effect for more than 30 counties, including Marion, Shelby, Hendricks, Bartholomew, Hancock, Johnson, Morgan, Rush and Shelby. In a spe cial weather statement it sent around 12:37 p.m. Saturday, the NWS indicated rivers, creeks, streams and low-lying, flood-prone areas may be impacted by significant rainfall. The NWS also reported that some roads may be closed because of flooding and high water. As of 12:33 p.m., NWS rain gauges indicated between two and 4.5 inches of rain had fallen since Friday at noon.
