THE LATEST FROM STORM TEAM 5...
After clouds held steady into the early afternoon, it was nice to see sunshine return to finish the day. High temperatures reached our seasonal averages in the upper 40s, even a few low 50s.
Tonight, plan on mostly clear skies, and with light winds, temperatures
will be on the cooler side in the middle to upper 20s.
We will start out with sunshine tomorrow, but clouds will fill in for the afternoon. Before that happens, highs will reach the upper 40s for the Northwoods, lower to middle 50s for the rest courtesy of a breezy west wind that will gust around 25mph.
A cold front will drop in from the north, likely beginning as a few isolated showers up north tomorrow evening. This front will evolve into a steady band of precipitation and as the cool air catches up, this will likely turn the precipitation over to some snow showers.
The band will continue to drop south and east overnight and a few lingering snow showers are possible early Monday AM. Snow totals are very meager, under 1" for most, but where it changes over first to snow for the Northwoods and Door County, a quick 1-1.5" of snow are possible. A few slick spots are possible Monday morning as lows fall into the 20s.
Besides the early snow Monday, plan on mostly cloud skies with highs in the low to mid 30s. Looking ahead, a few showers are possible south of Green Bay Wednesday into Wednesday night, and that will be followed by temperatures soaring above average next weekend.
