Aidan Hutchinson provides very promising injury update video

Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson shared a video of him working out, and it shows tremendous progress from his leg injury. When we last saw Aidan Hutchinson running, he was still clearly favoring his injured leg. Hutchinson broke h
is tibia and fibula way back on October 13 in the Detroit Lions’ Week 6 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
On Friday, Hutchinson shared another video of him working out at the Lions’ team facility at Allen Park, and it’s fair to say that he looks much more like himself. Check it out:

Seeing as it has almost been six months since the injury, that puts him right on track to be recovered from initial 4-6 month estimate initially put out by coach Dan Campbell. Earlier this week, Lions general manager Brad Holmes said that while he doesn’t have a crystal ball, he’s pretty confident they’ll see Hutchinson at the best of his ability again in 2025.
“I’ve seen enough movement and mobility on running in this stage that I feel very confident about where he’s gonna be at,” Holmes said on Monday.
Hutchinson got a similar vote of confidence from defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard back during the NFL Combine last month.
“I have full confidence he’s going to be back to health. Hutch is a dynamic player,” Sheppard said.
The first opportunity we’ll have to see Hutchinson take the field is later this month when the Lions open up their offseason workout program. The NFL announced earlier this week that the Lions’ program opens on April 22 with their first organized team activity (OTA) practice scheduled for May 28. ...read more read less
