Man killed after driving into tree near Gregory Boulevard in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One man is dead after driving into a tree in south Kansas City Friday night, according to law enforcement.
The Kansas City Police Department reported that at about 11:30 p.m., officers and emergency responders were called to East Gregory Boulevard and South Agnes Avenue on rep
orts of an injury crash.

Investigations revealed that the driver of a Ford Fusion, a man, had been traveling eastbound from 71 Highway to Gregory Boulevard when he crashed into a large tree near Agnes Avenue.
According to KCPD, the driver was the only person in the car, and shortly after the crash, he was taken to a hospital, where he died minutes after arriving.
Police have not released the victim's name or the cause of the crash. ...read more read less
