COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- City crews activated a Columbus floodwall on Saturday as heavy rainfall continues. Crews installed the floodgates in Franklinton at Greenlawn and Harmon avenues near Interstate 71, the city announced shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officials advised motorists to av oid the area. Soggy conditions continue with flooding concerns Greenlawn Avenue is closed between Front Street and Harmon Avenue, and the I-71 ramps to Greenlawn are closed. Harmon Avenue is closed north of Frank Road. Closures are expected to last through at least Sunday afternoon. The last time the floodwall was activated was April 2024.
