Alex Ovechkin tied Wayne Gretzky for the most goals scored in NHL history, netting his 894th career goal in the third period of the Washington Capitals‘ home game against the Chicago Blackhawks Friday night. The record-tying goal, which was Ovi’s second of the ga me, gave the Caps a 4-3 lead with 13:47 left in regulation.
