Man in custody after SWAT standoff in Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A suspect is in custody Friday after an hours-long SWAT standoff in Spring Valley.
Around 10:30 a.m., deputies recognized a wanted felony suspect walking near the 900 block of Gillespie Drive, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The 35-yea
r-old man, identified as Jaime Osorio, ran from deputies when he saw them and went back inside his home, authorities said.
A SWAT team was called in to assist.
Authorities searched the home a few hours later, but the suspect was not found.
Then around 6 p.m., Osorio was seen running along the 900 block of La Presa Avenue where deputies had established a perimeter, according to SDSO. He was taken into custody without incident.
Osorio, who was booked into the San Diego Central Jail for his outstanding felony warrant, faces charges of domestic violence, threats with intent to terrorize and assault with a deadly weapon. ...read more read less
