VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man was shot and killed in Virginia Beach Friday evening, according to police. Virginia Beach police said a call came in around 7:10 p.m. for a gunshot wound in the 400 block of Osprey Street. The suspect is currently at large. “People lost a loved one to day," said Jody Saunders, public information officer for the Virginia Beach Police Department. "There’s families whose lives are irrevocably destroyed right now and we just don’t want to see that anymore.” There is a heavy police presence at the scene, and the public was advised to avoid the area.
