AUSTIN (KXAN) -- New video shows the moment when authorities arrested more than 40 people suspected of being members of a Venezuelan gang in Hays County this week. Video shows the operation early Tuesday morning at a home in between Austin and Dripping Springs obtained by our colleagues at NewsNa tion. More than 40 people possibly linked with Venezuelan gang taken into custody in Hays County According to the FBI, information gathered led to an investigation that the home hosted a gathering of alleged Tren de Aragua (TdA) members. KXAN reported earlier this week on the FBI saying this incident was part of a years-long investigation into TdA by federal, state and local law enforcement partners. The feds added how law enforcement found adults, some minors and drugs at the home. It was not immediately clear the specific charges all the people involved face as the case remained under investigation Friday. On Thursday, U.S. Congressman Chip Roy, who represents the area, released a statement in part saying, "The people of Texas' 21 Congressional district -- and the nation -- are safer thanks to the teamwork of these agencies."
