Maryland man sentenced for stabbing partner 10 times

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A Maryland man was sentenced Friday for stabbing his romantic partner in February 2024, according to the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.
Aron Williams, 33, will spend 10 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised releas

According to court documents, Williams and his former romantic partner got into an argument on Feb. 23, 2024.

During the argument, Williams began strangling the woman with both hands before grabbing a large hunting knife and stabbing her ten times.
Court documents say the woman was stabbed on both arms, both legs, her mouth and her wrist. The victim began bleeding profusely as the cut to her wrist was bone deep and the gash to her mouth nearly cut off her lip.
The woman then called 911 and underwent emergency surgery.
Williams pled guilty to assault with intent to kill on Jan. 27, 2025, in the D.C. Superior Court.
