WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Twin sisters, a grandmother, two men and a woman were among the six people hospitalized following a series of stabbings in Northeast D.C. on Thursday afternoon.
Court documents released Friday provide some clarity into what the victims say happened during the attack.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) first arrived at the scene at around 3:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of Meighs Place NE, finding multiple victims in the street and on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds.

Additionally, they found and arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Kevin Steve Andrade.
Officers said they also found 34-year-old Kevin Steve Andrade on the ground, seemingly unconscious. They were providing him with medical aid when they received a notification that he was the suspect in the stabbing.
MPD secured him with handcuffs.
According to court documents, a review of the scene revealed a blue SUV with its doors open. Both the driver's and passenger seats were covered with blood and a black cell phone, as well as medical equipment, were seen on the ground near the passenger side of the car.
"All around the vehicle was blood spatter on the pavement, grass and various items," court documents read.
While at the hospital, detectives interviewed one woman who had been hurt in the attack. According to court documents, she told officers that she used to date Andrade and that he told her, "If I can't have you, no one can."
She said that when she walked up to him, he already had a knife and was "trippin."
Andrade then pushed her down, but she was not able to provide much more clarity as to what exactly happened.
She said she'd had wine and smoked PCP earlier in the day and that she knew Andrade smoked PCP, but that he wasn't with her that day.
She suffered a laceration to the right side of her face during the assault, requiring four stitches.
Another victim told detectives that she and her sister were in the area to visit their grandmother. The three of them were hanging out outside when she saw Andrade pacing and a woman recording him with a cell phone while screaming.

She said Andrade already had blood on him when he ran toward her and started stabbing her and others.
Her twin sister had a similar recount, and added that Andrade began yelling "everybody getting stabbed today" as he approached her, her sister and their grandmother.
She said she rushed to get her grandmother out of harm's way, but that the suspect had jumped onto her grandmother and "began stabbing all of them," according to court documents.
"She stated she didn't notice at the time [but] the defendant stabbed her in the back as she attempted to save her grandmother," court documents read.
She said she quickly turned around to her sister, who was bleeding profusely from her neck, and began to apply pressure to her wounds while flagging down bystanders to call 911.
Andrade was then stopped by two men, who were bystanders.
One of the men said he was sitting outside when he first saw the suspect walking around with a knife. He said Andrade ran toward the group he was sitting with and began stabbing them. He tried to stop him, but the two of them fell to the ground.
He ended up suffering lacerations to the back of the head, upper back and upper right thigh.
The other man hurt reported he was getting off the D8 bus on Montello Avenue when he saw Andrade jogging down the street and a woman waving her hands. He was listening to music and couldn't hear what she was saying.
He told police that Andrade tried stabbing him and that they fell to the ground.
The woman told him, "I was trying to warn you!"
Andrade walked down Montello Avenue and police cruisers soon followed.
The man suffered a laceration to the back of his head, which required five stitches.
Multiple witnesses in the area told police they observed similar scenes, with one witness telling police he heard Andrade yell, "I am going to kill them all."
MPD said they believe Andrade was under the influence of an unknown substance when the stabbings took place.
He was formally charged on Friday with six counts of assault with intent to kill and destruction of property. ...read more read less
