VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An apartment fire prompted a temporary road closure in Visalia, the Visalia Fire Department said. Firefighters say they were called to an apartment fire in the 500 block of East Kaweah at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, crews report finding a single- story apartment with smoke and fire visible. Firefighters were able to put out the fire and limit the damage to just one apartment; all the residents had evacuated the unit, so no injuries were reported. Crews advised that Kaweah Avenue between Santa Fe and Burke streets was going to be closed while crews remained on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation. ...read more read less
