SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A San Diego County Sheriff's Office search for a suspect in Spring Valley Friday has escalated to a SWAT standoff, per authorities. Around 10:30 a.m., deputies recognized a wanted felony suspect walking near the 900 block of Gillespie Drive, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. The man ran from deputies when he saw them and went back inside his home, authorities said. The suspect in the home is described as a 35-year-old man named Jaime, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 200 pounds, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, authorities said. A SWAT team was called in to assist.
