The San Mateo Police Department said it responded on the night of March 7 to a report from an individual who said she was possibly being followed by a suspicious person while driving from San Francisco to San Mateo. Officers investigating the incident learned that the suspect took photos of her car and later found that Wang returned to the victim’s neighborhood “on multiple occasions after the incident,” authorities said.
A search warrant executed at Wang’s San Mateo home located automatic rifles, unserialized firearms, silencers and firearm manufacturing items, according to police. Following the search, a warrant was obtained for Wang’s arrest.
