PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that there would be multiple lane closures in April for work on the Washington Bridge. RIDOT said two lanes would be closed on Interstate 195 East on April 6 for barrier work. The closure will take place from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. from the Iway Bridge to the Washington Bridge. RIDOT said there would also be right and center lane closure on I-195 East from Exit 1A to Exit 1 B/C for installation of the Structural Health Monitoring system. These closures would occur from April 7 to April 10 during the hours of 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. There will also be weekday work for the SHM system with no lane closures from April 7 to April 11 and April 14 to April 18, from the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Categories: News, Providence, Rhode Island ...read more read less
