MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) - A fire in Manitowoc on Friday afternoon was quickly contained via the efforts of multiple agencies. The Manitowoc Fire Department said it was dispatched to a fire at 1630 South 10th Street around 1:17 p.m. and crews found a 1.5-story home with smoke from both the front an d back. One of two missing boaters found dead in Wisconsin River, search for other continues amidst difficult water conditions Command upgraded the situation to a Working Still 7-1-1 as Truck 1 found the base of the flames, directing the point of entry. A search revealed nobody was home, and fire suppression efforts were performed and the scene was cleared within two hours.
